Our History
Since January 2008, Berea Children's Home and Family Services of Central Ohio has been providing home-based and community-based counseling services to children and families in Franklin County. Our services seek to empower children and families to escape poverty by providing them with the skills and motivation necessary to overcome the challenges they face and help them lead productive lives. Berea Children's Home and Family Services of Central Ohio offers the unique advantage of delivering our services directly to our clients in their homes. By providing home-based services, we are able to remove major barriers, such as child care, transportation or other challenges, which preclude their ability to get the help they need. Home-based services have been proven to substantially lower the number of missed or no-show appointments, increasing the effectiveness of our services. Our mentoring services have expanded to provide individual child and parent mentors that enhance family stability and strengthen the relationship between parents and their children. Through innovative leadership and superior services, we make the commitment to a bright future by cultivating strong kids, strong families and a strong community.
